Dan Whaley is a senior product architect working with the BBC’s Voice and AI team, helping build the future of broadcast media. He has been involved in voice and artificial intelligence since the early noughties and has worked in design, development and as a consultant. Dan has seen the AI world emerge from the shadows to the mainstream and gained years of practical experience along the way.

Currently engaged in building the BBC’s conversational AI capacity, working with engineering and design teams, R&D, academic and industrial partners. Focused on advanced dialogue, conversational content and content discovery, while maintaining the BBC’s core public service values and impartiality.
