Kate Wing is the founder of the databranch, which connects the conservation and technology sectors to take on real world challenges. She also advises social sector clients on strategy and business model development. She received a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation grant to apply machine learning to fisheries, hosted the 2016 San Francisco Fishackathon, and serves on the board of Adventure Scientists. Her background includes working as a Program Officer at the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation and as a Congressional fellow. She holds a master’s in ocean policy from the University of Washington.
