Intelligent Agents: from Space to Healthcare

In this talk, we’ll give an overview of Ejenta’s intelligent agents-- autonomous software entities that are able to observe their environment using sensor data from the “Internet of Things”, and are able to reason, learn and take actions to achieve goals. We’ll give a history of how our platform has evolved, from its origins at NASA, where it was used to develop virtual assistants that monitor and advise astronauts during spacewalks and to develop a virtual flight controller in NASA’s Mission Control. Today, Ejenta is bringing the technology down to earth to help shape the future of healthcare and insurance.

Dr. Maarten Sierhuis is a co-founder of Ejenta, a San Francisco startup developing an intelligent agent platform with applications in healthcare, insurance and government.
