Keith E. Sonderling was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on September 22, 2020, to be a Commissioner on the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In this capacity, he is responsible for enforcing federal laws that prohibit discrimination against job applicants and employees because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetic information. Commissioner Sonderling previously served as the Acting and Deputy Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division at the U.S. Department of Labor. Prior to that, Commissioner Sonderling was a partner at the Gunster Law Firm in Florida, where he practiced labor and employment law.
