Lisa Green earned her PhD in physical chemistry from UC Berkeley, where she got to play with lasers and pull apart single molecules of RNA. She moved from the lab to the office working in bioinformatics at NextBio and then worked on digital rights at Creative Commons. In 2011, Lisa launched Common Crawl, which now boasts petabytes of open data being used for some very cool projects. She contributed to Domino Data Lab as Head of Social Impact and as an advisor. She currently serves as ED of the nonprofit Solve for Good, and as CPO of a stealth startup.
