Dr Roushanak Rahmat is a researcher at The Institute of Cancer Research, London, with research interests in the fields of deep learning modeling in medical image analysis and computer vision. Her goal is to develop new deep-learning tools for predicting patient survival and treatment toxicity from radiotherapy. In particular, she is interested in combining imaging data with other sources of information, including patient demographics (age, sex, weight etc.), to improve treatment schedule efficiency and reliability. Before joining ICR, She was a Research Associate at The University of Cambridge working on deep learning, for automatic segmentation of glioma before treatment and prediction of progression pattern after treatment, using conventional structural and diffusion tensor imaging.
