Abstract:

Acquiring a new customer is 25x costlier than retaining one. Flat promotions result in lower engagement & retention for retailers. This session will focus on how understanding customers’ real-time Price & Demand signals can improve engagement and conversion – outlining our AI platform, which analyzes hundreds of data points on each shopper to predict their Willingness to Pay during the shopping journey. This has helped retailers hyper personalize their promotions and extend on demand discounts resulting in improved revenue per customer.

Sergio is the Head of Product for WishYourPrice and General Partner at Beta Boom Capital. He co-founded and led product and engineering teams for an award-winning platform for low-income communities, AtmaGo.com, which has served over 3M users to date. He is also a founding partner of Boom Factor, a Sillicon Valley-based innovation firm. Earlier in his career, Sergio also served as Director of User Experience for Scribd.com, where he helped grow traffic from 2.5M monthly users to 6.3M. He holds B.A. degrees in physics and economics from Dartmouth College and an M.A. in development economics from Boston University.
