Tommy Moffat

Quantum Machine Learning for Simulated Drug Discovery

Tommy is a 17-year-old working on applying quantum computing and deep learning to difficult problems like drug discovery and materials design. Tommy has been focusing specifically on how the powerful ability to manipulate quantum mechanics for computation will disrupt and evolve DL. Over the summer, he collaborated with the tech startup accelerator Creative Destruction Lab where he worked alongside top quantum companies like D-Wave, Rigetti, and Xanadu at the intersection of quantum computing and deep learning. He's worked on several projects that tie QC and DL together, including Bayesian and Markovian networks on a quantum annealer from D-Wave. Working with The Knowledge Society (TKS) has allowed him to grow exponentially over the past 2 years and deeply explore his passion for quantum computing. Portfolio:
