Eugenie Teasley is a philanthropist’s sidekick, converting his radical ideas on tech and education into high-impact projects that marry business with sustainable social good. The current portfolio includes developing virtual reality and other apps for use in rural education and training in East Africa, and for young refugees on the move between countries.
Eugenie is also founder and chair of Spark+Mettle, a youth charity that uses technology, co-creation and coaching techniques to enable marginalised young people to build their character strengths, soft skills and networks. In partnership with HSBC and the British Council, the charity launched an online platform that serves schools across seven countries in the Middle East and North Africa. She holds degrees from the University of Oxford and UC Berkeley and lives in Brighton with her husband, sons and dogs.
