Sally Applin

Sally A. Applin is a Doctoral Candidate in Anthropology with a technology focus at the University of Kent, Canterbury, working with the Centre for Social Anthropology and Computing (CSAC). Sally's research interests are on human invention and adaptation of digital technologies; sociability in automation; the impact of multiple, multiplexed communications on human relationships and cooperation; how groups evolve, grow, and communicate; brand development; ubiquitous automated services, automated vehicles, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). She is a member of the Internet of Things Council. Her work can be found at www.posr.org.
