Béatrice Marquez-Garrido joined the European Commission in 2012 in the unit 'Future and Emerging Technologies', as Scientific Project Officer, dealing with the management of research projects funded by FET, and also the communication activities of the FET unit. Béatrice Marquez-Garrido is an engineer in chemistry from a French engineering school and she did her PhD thesis in biochemistry. Before joining the European Commission, she worked as a post-doc in Belgian and Spanish research teams.
