Virtual Learning Assistant Technology for the Education & Training Industry

As the virtual assistant technology transforms the consumer electronics, e-commerce and social media industries, can the education industry benefit from the same advanced technologies? In this talk, we will discuss how Virtual Learning Assistants (VLA) are solving some of the challenges facing Education and Training industries. With the help of a virtual learning assistant, a student can learn any topic, any time, anywhere while engaging in a natural language conversation and getting instant assessment and guidance towards conceptual mastery. This talk will demonstrate the applications of VLA technology to K-12, Higher Education and Corporate Training markets.

Dee Kanejiya is the founder and CEO of Cognii, an education focused virtual assistant. He has over 15 years of experience in technology and business development in the areas of artificial intelligence and natural language processing industries. Most recently, he was part of the core technology teams at Vlingo and then Nuance that pioneered the virtual personal assistant technology for smartphones such as the S-Voice on Samsung Galaxy devices. He studied PhD in Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi and carried out post-doc research at Carnegie Mellon University and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. He is passionate about improving the quality and affordability of education for all. His other innovations include a personalized speech recognition system, a semantic search and discovery engine for e-commerce and a healthcare automation technology.
